The decision, not the build.
Advisory is judgement on call. You keep the vendor choices, the roadmap and the budget. I make sure you make them with someone who has shipped this before.
Most AI money is lost before anyone writes a line of code
The expensive mistakes happen early and quietly: a tool bought for a problem nobody owns, a pilot with no route to production, a policy written to satisfy a board rather than a team, twelve months spent evaluating models when the real blocker was the data. None of that is fixed by building faster. It is fixed by someone asking the awkward question in the room, in week one, before the budget is committed. That is what an AI advisor is for, and it is a different job from delivery.
How I work
Two things, every month. A standing session where we take the decisions in front of you and work them through, and a written memo after each one: the question, the real options, what each costs in money, risk and calendar time, and my recommendation with the reasoning attached. The memo is yours. It goes to your board, your bank or your team without me in the room. Between sessions you have me in Slack for the questions that will not wait.
What advisory covers
- 01Build, buy or wait
The three-option memo. What it costs to own each one in two years, not just to start it.
- 02Vendor and model choice
Which tool, which model, which contract terms to push back on. I am Claude-only in what I build, and I will still tell you when something else fits your case better.
- 03Where AI goes first
Sequencing across the business, so the first deployment is the one that makes the second one easy to approve.
- 04Policy, risk and the EU AI Act
What your obligations actually are at your size and use case, written plainly, and what you can safely leave alone.
- 05The honest no
The processes that should be fixed, priced or staffed instead of automated. This is the part clients quote back to me most.
Levels
One 90-minute session a month plus a written memo. Slack between sessions. For a founder or an owner-leader making the calls alone.
Three-month minimum, then renewable monthly.
Two sessions a month with your leadership team, memos for each, and review of the material before it goes to the board. For a company rolling AI out across functions.
Three-month minimum.
Monthly leadership session plus a quarterly board appearance, the written material that goes with it, and access during the weeks a decision is live. For companies where AI is now a board topic.
Three-month minimum.
Custom advisory
Some work does not fit a monthly rhythm: a due diligence read on an AI acquisition, an expert opinion for a board or an investor, a one-off strategy sprint before a funding round, an interim AI lead while you hire. Those are priced on request, because the scope is the whole question. Tell me what you need and by when, and you get a number and a date, not a proposal process.

A fit when
- You are the person who signs off, and you are making AI calls without a sparring partner.
- The question in front of you is a decision, not a deliverable.
- You want the reasoning written down, so the decision survives you being in the room.
Probably not when
- You want something built. That is Internal Claude or a website agent, not advisory.
- Nobody in the company can act on the memo. Advice with no owner is an expensive document.
- You want a vendor-neutral tender process run. I build on Claude, and you should know that before you hire me to advise.
Is this the right first step for you? Two minutes, an honest answer.

FAQ
What does an AI advisor actually do?
An AI advisor helps you decide, and does not build. In practice that means a standing monthly session, a written decision memo after each one with the real options scored on cost, risk and time, and a recommendation you can take to a board without me present. At Brinvik advisory starts at €1,342 a month on a three-month minimum, and the most valuable answer is often that a given process should be fixed rather than automated.
No. A retainer ships work: skills get tuned, deployments happen, things go live. Advisory ships judgement: sessions and memos, and nothing gets built. Companies often run one after the other. Advisory decides what to do, the project does it, the retainer keeps it healthy.
Yes, from the Leadership level up. Sparring is built for one decision-maker. If three people need to be in the room, Leadership is the right level.
No. The audit is the first paid step for work that gets built, because it scopes a project. Advisory starts with the decision you already have in front of you, so you can start on the first session.
Then I scope it and quote it like any project, and you are free to have someone else build it. The memo is written so a different vendor can act on it. That is deliberate.
After the three-month minimum, yes, with one month of notice. People pause between decisions and come back when the next one lands.

A short call. We decide together whether Brinvik is the right fit before either of us invests a week.
You leave with a yes or a no, and the price of the next step. If it is a no, you owe nothing and you know where to go instead.
Audit
I map how your team works and where Claude earns its keep. You leave with the plan.
You own the assessment either way: a map of how your team works, where Claude pays off first, and a fixed price you can act on or decline.
Design
Prompts, skills, integrations, and the guardrails around them. Written down.
The whole system on paper before anything is built. Prompts, skills, integrations and guardrails, written so your own team can read them.
Deploy
I ship it. HubSpot, Calendly, Notion, Slack, whatever your stack needs.
A working deployment in your own environment and your own tools, tested against the numbers we agreed in Design.
Handoff
Your team owns the system. I document it, train two operators, and leave the keys. Retainer optional, not assumed.
You get two trained operators, the documentation and the keys. Nothing runs through Brinvik unless you choose the retainer.
A second opinion
before you spend.
Bring the decision you are stuck on. If advisory is the wrong shape for it, I will say so and point you at the thing that is.
